i thought calcium uptake was also linked to sunlight. I have had egg bound birds when i was cabinate breeding in my garage, warmth and olive oil on the vent seemed to help.

How does olive oil help? I have heard about it but thought it was useless?shnapper20 wrote: ↑18 Sep 2018, 11:16 i thought calcium uptake was also linked to sunlight. I have had egg bound birds when i was cabinate breeding in my garage, warmth and olive oil on the vent seemed to help.

I have not tried it, but understand that being just slightly warmed and slippery it helps the birds vent relax and slide the egg out.
