Lifecycle of worms & air sac mites / Ideal treatment cycle?

Is your finch sick or not well? Find out why.

I removed my ranting and raving about purchasing birds with air sac mite. @Myzomela, this is a very good thread, and your information enlightened me to something new. The issue has been controlled. Thank you so very much, to you and all others whom shared info. Kind Regards

It is best to give your finches worming medicine every 3 months.
Have a nice day!

best to start a new thread for your question Cathy. This is a really old thread and it gets confusing when new threads are added to old ones :)

I've read a few recommendations about the use of a "sweetener" when using Cydectin Plus as it is very bitter. Does anybody have any recommendations on what kind of sweetener I can safely use to treat my finches and parakeets? Thanks.

Never used one, but I believe some people use red cordial.

Yes people use red cordial, but personally I just take all water sources out at 4pm the afternoon before, then straight up in the next morning I give them the water and because they are thirsty they take a big drink before they realise it tastes bad
