Hi was wondering if anyone here bred mutation goldfinch here in Australia
Thought it might be a good discussion as there seems to be a few around .
Any tips on these wonderful birds would be very greatful and helpful.
Hoping to get a few in next couple of months .

Only many years ago by careless accident. Canary hen by Goldfinch cock. Junior was a wonderful singer, and a nice looking bird.

Thank you , I was thinking more about the pied gene they are slowly developing here in Australia.

Finchman is talking about mutations FB not hybrids. A few years ago a trapper was keeping all the pied birds caught and breeding them but i really don't know the outcome, some had complete white heads and others white patches through out the body.
There is green finch mutations here as well with a few breeders in NSW.
