Hi all name is scotty.
My dad and i had finches when i was a kid and always loved them.
Have been keen for years to build an aviary and try and breed some australian finches with my own boys but always too busy with work. Have more time these days so thats why im here.

Thanks for the kind welcome guys.
We inherited a pair of gouldians a year ago when my father in law passed
But one died a few months back. So probly a mate for old barney first. ( the wife named them ).
Many years ago my cousins and i used to catch redheads and double bars snd chestnuts by the dozen in my grandmothers back yard at mooball so probly try and chase up some of them. We are just going through all the rigmarole with council to erect a garage etc in the back yard and i wanna attach the avairy to that.
I did read i will need a license to keep red brows ect so that is on the cards too.
Anyhoo lots of reading on this site to get to.
Thanks again for thekind welcome.

Reading all about what other people have done on here will help you with decicions to orientate the avairy to the sun, and make it weather and rodent proof. Enjoy.
