I've got a pretty funny story my uncle told me when had a problem with a possum

When my uncle was a young fella, he went camping with a few mates on the property, and there used to be a possum that used to hang around the house and always destroyed all the fruit trees, all the plants and even ate a heap of fish food that was left on the table outside
Late one night, my uncle and his best mate, were up by the fire drinking (a bit too much) and their other 2 mates went to bed, and low and behold, the possum came down the tree beside them and started sniffing all around the tents looking for a feed.
My uncle saw an opportunity to finally get rid of him, and so his plan sprang into action.
My uncle had a half eaten pear in the esky, so he got that out and all the tents were lined up next to where the possum was, so my uncle pinned up one of the tents (which he thought was his) doors with a stick and threw the pear in.
The possum sniffed it out and wandered into the tent and as quick as a flash, my uncle pulled out the stick and zipped up the tent and decided to deal with it in the morning.
My uncle then got up the next morning still by the fire from the night before with his mate (from the drinking they did), and they heard this blood curdling shriek, and his other mate came racing from out of his tent with the possum trailing behind him before taking off into the scrub.
It turns out my uncle trapped the possum in the wrong tent, and his mate was certainly unimpressed

how to keep doves & pigeons away,
Raptors are very good at this. Unfortunately they do not alway refrain from having a caged bird of two for desert as well.

If you remove what the doves are after, like if you properly dispose of seed waste and remove bird baths and take nests down when they start to build, thats really the most you can do, and just keep scaring them off any way possible.

The doves are of no concern to me. They do nothing except walk on the aviary.

It does not cause problems when they just do that, its when poo starts to cultivate and spread diseases onto your birds is the real problems
I kept ringneck doves in with my finches there for a bit (before they got their new aviary) and the amount of poo 2 birds would make in a week was unbelievable. :o

Ok. Well, I did put some spiky bougainvillea branches on the roof and that seems to be doing the trick.
