My Gouldian is puffed up and bobbing his head up and down as if he is trying to swallow. Does this sound like a crop problem? How would you treat it? Thanks

It could be a multitude of things but one of the more common is airsac mites that cause irritation. Any of the moxidectin treatments or in your country the product " Scat" will treat it.

If the bird has an discharge from the nose or watery eyes, it could have a bacterial infection. Your best bet is to keep the bird warm & dry and get it to a bird vet for a check up, asap.

I use moxidectin plus to treat for Air Sac Mite as it does for worms too. You can buy it from Danny Brown’s website Geckodan:

Thanks,
