So both sets of parents are normal green backs? If one of the young has a white chest, the odds are its mum is the white chest, and whoever her mate is has to be split white chest.

I think the parents of that young one are split Australian yellow. They can produce Australian yellows or more splits, the young can show signs of being split by white patches on the head,under the bill and a white or yellowish patch on the back of the head/neck, these are visual splits.

Hi guys, I’m home from a bit of a holiday for a few weeks, when I left my grey baby from last yr was still,grey. I ve noticed he/she has a bit of blue colour coming thru , still white front tho, other babies starting to colour also. What u think, he will be? There seems to be many variations in blue. Hope u r all keeping well. BTW same mum as this baby has 5 new babes in box, wow she’s a busy mum, resting her next yr, and taking boxes out! Regards Joan.
