When do you know ?

Sorry if I'm harping on about Seagreens ..
But when do you know you have Pied offspring especially in regards to parrot finches ?
Like by 3 months or longer ?

with most birds you can usually see the colouration when they leave the nest. However, if the young have a juvenile colouration that changes when they moult (like Gouldians), then you won't see the adult colouration until they have moulted.
