Hi everyone I am from the UK, I have been a member for 3 year's now so I thought it was about time I said hello. I have kept birds on and off since I was a kid, a few pigeons and Chickens in the 80s I had budgie's ,cockatiels, waxbills Australian grass parakeet's ended up with Parrots had a 20 year break and now I am keeping British Softbills I have a pair of Song Thrushes, a pair of Blackbirds and will be getting a pair of Skylarks in a couple of weeks anyway that's about it hope you are all keeping safe and well atb Mark

Hello and welcome to the forum. I've never heard of blackbirds being kept in captivity—over here they're an invasive pest.

Thanks for your replies I got my hen blackbird at the start of the season but could not source a cock bird until the end of the season they breed several mutations in the UK. I have found the site really good for information especially on food for Skylarks atb Mark

Good luck in breeding the Blackbirds. What mutations are there?

Hi there is Cinnamon,Albino,Satinette, Pied, Blues, Grizzles the fella I bought my cock bird off said it was split for grizzle. There might be other mutations but there the ones I know about atb Mark
