Hey I am from USA, I have an indoor aviary with 1 crested canary, 4 gouldians (now 3), a forbes finch, and a blue faced parrotfinch. I ended up here because one of my Gouldians recently died and it was heart breaking, I hope to learn more here to make sure they all stay alive from now on.

Welcome to the forum!

Be careful not to let the two different parrotfinch species hybridize.

Welcome to the forum. It is good for finches to have a variety of perch sizes to exercise their feet. I use natural perches cut from Fruit or native trees myself. Having only one size perch is like us constantly wearing the same pair of shoes every day all day not good. Beautiful looking collection. I am also a fan of the crested canaries. Moma crested currently has 5 chicks with her painheaded hubby.

Please don't house the two species of parrot finches together they will cross breed and the young are useless to anyone and infertile as well.
The cock blue face is split lutino as well further damaging that mutation.

Only if you have all birds of the same gender is the combination you have OK. These birds are also much happier breeding in their own small avairies. So great excuse to go get another avairy or 2 so each species can have their own. You have beautiful brightly coloured birds.

Aussie native trees that are safe for birds are,
Callistemon or bottlebrush
Tea tree or leptospreum
Melauca
Banksia
Grevillea
Native coastal rosemary wisteria
All safe to use for perches and brush for birds to nest in.

Using fruit trees also works. My mulberry tree supplies most of my avairys perching needs.
