I have just read that the cool wet summer on the East coast has lead to a bumper breeding season for Aviculturilists.
While here in WA we have had the hottest summer on record in most Cities and towns. Birds lost to sudden unexpected temperature increases of
10 degrees in 10hrs, followed by 10 days straight of of 40 and over temps. People finding wild birds dead in their yards.
Fortunately many of us have auto retic on our avairies, which helps, but not always enough. More people are now putting out and watching bird baths and water bowls for the wild birds and lizards. My home city/town has broken heat records several times this summer.
Life in Australia is a contrast.
A Big Country = Great contrast

That's pretty bad FB and yes we are aware of your heat wave seeing on it on News weather with heaps more to come.
Yes the weather on the East Coast is totally different with heaps of rain but still warm with an extended period for seeding grasses to encourage birds to breed and breed well.
It's sad hearing your predicament but that's the world we live in now so keep cool your breeding season will come eventually when ours stops l hope.
All the very best for what you can do. Cheers Craig

Well another crazy summer.
Today the 2nd moderate day after 3 at over 45degrees.
We need to get the Developers and Councils to plant more trees to cool our cities.
But that won't happen because smaller blocks = more profit.
