I buy my seed from nutri wing. (http://www.nutriwing.com) It's clean and sprouts very well.
Has a good range to choose from and hes right round the corner from me which makes it
a bit easier. Don't go off the prices online tho because they are quite out of date, and a bit higher now.

Have been getting my seed from Eerrys home hardware. They have just changed to 25kg bags.
W/F/M $1.28 kg

Plain canary $2.52 kg

Wanting to buy a ton of these if anyone knows a good supplier which might be cheaper.

$40 for 25kg bags of finch mix here. Was $39 for about three years, until about a year ago when it went up. The disadvantages of being 400/500kms from anywhere else.

Buy my canary, sunflower, wheat, and occasionally white(when they plant it), straight from the farm, about a 5hr drive, but fill the ute for about $0.80/kg, & $0.60 for the white. Not the cleanest, but can't get any fresher. Buy the rest from Redcliffe Produce in Brisbane, about a 3hr drive. I only buy about twice a year thou.

I don't bother, it's only a few stems and small bit of seed head thats in it, extra entertainment for the finches. I will say but, the dust from the canary seed is extreemly ithcy, but the old baby powder works wonders on it.
