I have been thinking that I will start ordering Finch Mix online for the convenience - just like we now do with groceries since the pandemic.
Could those more experienced please recommend a good mix for Gouldians? I saw one called a Blue Finch Mix, but is that too general? When I mix my own I use mainly Panicum, plus Jap Millet and Canary. I just feel that there's probably a better option, but I don't know what it is!
Thanks for your help. Tony.

Finch blue by Avigrain is my preferred seed mix, but I prefer to buy it from my local bird shop rather than online. Those little independent businesses provide a huge amount of value to our community and we should be doing what we can to support them.

I'm with Shane on supporting your local grain supplier.

I would like to support local, but it's not always easy. I don't have a local bird shop, but the pet shop has Finch Mix at $22.90 for 5kg ($4.60/kg). By comparison I can order it online at $46.50 for 20kg ($2.32/kg).
Does anyone think we should increase the proportion of Panicum for Gouldians?

Oww that is a bit on the pricey side. Used to paying $62/20kgs here for the budgie breeders mix (show budgie breeders designed it and it is very large finch friendly)
