Hi everyone, Can mozzies cause issues with my aviary finches? If so, Is there a way to eradicate them? Thank you

Yes they can and do in particular canary types of birds and painted finches but all finches in general. I'm not sure what you can do about it other than the use of a pyrithrum? spray late afternoon onwards. Or maybe planting something that mozzies don't like but safe for your finches.

I find that mossies tend to rest in my avairy during the day, probably due to it being cooler and shady.
You can use products like Coopex, that can be sprayed on the walls and ceilings of your enclosure that will kill them.
Doesn't stop them flying in, but at least they are reduced in numbers
Cheers

What the guys have said.
Mozzie bites can result in lost toes for finches and canaries.
