Hello I’m Deb
I’m new to keeping finches
12 months ago I built a large aviary and attempted to buy a few pairs
Out of 6 diffrent types of finches I only ended up with 1 pair of Cubans unfortunately the female died a month later and I now have a aviary of 99% males of diffrent types
My dream is to one day have hens for all my boys
I’m in sth/ east Victoria
Gday

Welcome to the forum.
One of the bugbears of the finch and bird world in general - 3 males available to every 2 females.
And if one out of a pair dies you have a 70% chance it will be the female.
But we love them, as you will, and wouldn't be without them for quids.
