Hi guys, I have been thinking about keeping fairy wrens and was wondering if people could give some advice on keeping them. Also on where I could possibly purchase some. Thank you 😊

Wrens are a specialist species that are bred on their own. Not in a mixed collection of finches and small parrots.
Some say it is ok but come breeding season they can become murderous and hog the livefood and stay alert to other birds trying to get a feed of it.
In a large aviary on their own they really well with the previous young helping out to feed their next young.
Plenty of livefood and a bit of soft food will make sure that they will get results.
Heavily brushed or planted aviaries for nesting sites, oh and only one breeding pr per aviary, young are usually accepted till young males start to colour.

Advice to Shanelle and any other newcomers . .

The 'Search' function is probably the most valuable resource on this forum . . It is a vast store of knowledge and experience which will give hours of reading pleasure

And 'Wrens' certainly get a guernsey
