Just wondering if anyone could tell me whether they think the ruddie finch on the left with the spots would be a hen or cock? It was sold as a cock but have read that if they have spots they are a hen? We have not had ruddies before so unsure of difference. Appreciate any help.

They both males, both hens and cocks carry spots. Hens are brown all over but with a little red above the eyes.
