Hey all, I have a pair of Gouldians who have laid their first egg, however I've noticed that they are removing a large amount of their nesting material (swamp grass). Is this normal?

Gouldians are not logical when it comes to nest material - they frequently use too little material and rely on humans to "fix the nest."

Thanks for the advice! I find I'm constantly having to add nesting material, to which they remove most of within a few days. Should I just continue to add nesting material?

As long as there is a suitable cover under the egg - just leave it.
