Noticed yesterday newby yellow emblema sitting on the ground an awful lot so have been watching from a distance today to see whats going on .
Both Red and Yellow boys have been introduced to aviary in a pretty short space of time , I think this is causing some friction as Red has been chasing Yellow relentlessly to the point of exhaustion.
Both have gal pals but the Reds are in and out of a nestbox whereas the Yellow boy is still a bit young for all that yet.
OK saga happening here , Ive taken both Yellows out for a respite . Questions are How long would you leave them out of the aviary for ?
How long would all this huff and puff go on for ? Is it normal behaviour for Emblemas who Ive always found to be very laid back little birds.

I only ever kept them as single pairs, so not sure about reintroduction, but if the new cock is too young to breed, I'd probably leave it till the season is over.

Sorry can't help have also only ever kept them as single pairs. Don't have one of those great little cages on wheels of yours you can make into a Yellow Pairs residence?

Yep good idea F/breeder might pay to keep them in a cage of their own ...way too much heartache replacing birds .
