risk with poop

I understand hygiene is crucial amoungst birds and making sure their droppings don't end up in thier feeders etc. and my query is does poop from a single cage bird(it's own poop) as risky to the bird compared to a cage or aviary with multiple birds.Just a thought I'm still cleaning out my single bird cage and multi bird cage at the same rate.
