Looks simple enough to do. A picture or two are worth a 1000 words. Might try this method next time.

Thanks for the pics and the posts I now have a better understanding of the procedure . Thinking since they need their nails cut before much longer I will do tha t first in case I jag it for a bleeder and theres the blood test done , failing that I will be pulling a feather or 2 .
