Sorry if I said anything to upset you , I actually know what a panic it causes when you see the giant poops for the first time and had I not already wormed mine( when I first saw them) I would have most likely done the same as you .... as I said this is how we learn .

Just mentioning, but as you say the weather is not always co-operative.
And we all have to go with the circumstances we find ourselves in.

Personally, I would also avoid worming while parents are feeding chicks as I would worry about the chicks receiving an accidental overdose of wormer via the food regurgitated to them by their parents...finchbreeder wrote: if you are going to do this it might be best to do so before they start to lay or once the chicks are hatched.

I'm with madhatter.. I wouldn't do that. If a bird really needed wormer, it would either have to wait (if it had young) or be separated to drink it.

Just an update.........perched 4 Parsons, 4 Stars, 2 PC Lorikeets in the box due mid December
........more coming, dont like poking fingers into nests......bloody wet here, lost 2 Stars as they flew on the worst day 2 weeks ago
......3 Parsons are fine, 1 seems underdeveloped but is being well attended
.........I'll be taking samples for the microscope as soon as it fines up.....the humidity is a killer

Congratulations. Glad all is going well. Bit on the warmish side here too. 37 today and 34 yesterday. But rain only comes at a cupful a month.
