The seem to be big, fat & healthy. One in a while I will have birds sitting & the next day their eggs are gone. So I put it down to the geckos. Do you have them in your cage?
Hey pauli, I get the same problem with the geckos but haven't had any eggs gone before I have seen them inside the aviary roaming around but that's about it hope you can stop them.

what size wire do you have around the base of the aviary. that would be the first thing for me, stop them getting in. after stopping them from getting in, you will need to trao the others and remover them, set something up that they may like to hide in but the finches & quail cannot enter

We have lots of geckos up here in the Philippines and the locals reckon that they do eat hatchlings. I have them in my aviay and so far without incident. I must also add that I have 3mm mesh on the aviary but house geckoes start off pretty small (eggs about the size of an orange breasted wax-bill's egg) and so juveniles can get in the smallest gap. I remain hopeful that I can eliminated snakes but I assume I will never get rid of the geckoes. The warning on the Coopex packet says that it's toxic to reptiles and if it is a new lot of geckoes soon move in after spraying. I think you're stuck with themunless you are keeping frogmouths or owls.
