Just chased that damn (*^(%^*&%*&^*&)^%$&*&^&^%R&* black cat from our yard, 3 blocks down the road. the reason is because it was carrying a wounded, still shrieking magpie lark from our garden in it's jaws. Anyway, when I finally arrived at here it was just sitting down to enjoy this treat, I managed to hit the cat on the head with a wel thrown (actually very proud of that throw!
) stick, and the magpie lark got away to it's friends who were waiting on the wires above. Thankfully, though there were some chest & back wounds, the wings were virtually undamaged and it could just fly enough to get away. the cat disappeared into the bushes.anyway, so that's my days work and I will most definitely be complaining to the owner (the house behind us) about keeping the bloody thing indoors. They're out most of the week from 7-8.30, and during that time the cat ha free reign over our garden (cowardly dog) and the rest of the neighbourhood. always to fast for the hose to catch him.
but would prefer to talk to owner first. if that doesn't work, I'll trap it, let it know my feelings about it coming at night to rattle my bird cages (with the helpful aid of a hose ;) ) and then do the council thing
