Adam will try to take a pic of ours and post tonight or tomorrw. Tried to google but can't find it quickly, however there are plenty of designs out there. Just google "bird feeder" +catcher. Good luck!

These pics are from last year, things have changed a bit since then.
I use the cat tray method too, works great. I used to have this up off the floor, but since getting the quail I now have the seed hopper hanging on a long chain from the roof and the flicked seed falls into the litter tray. The adults can hop in and out of the litter tray no problem. Now I have the baby quail I have taken to putting seed on the floor for them as they are so tiny.
As well as the litter tray and hanging seed hopper I do have another feeder in the main aviary that I really like, the husks and seed fall into the drawer underneath, keeps things tidy. I will be getting another one or two of this type as they are very reliable. I can see the level of the seed from inside the house. The gouldian youngster is sitting on the trough that runs the length of the hopper, the area where the pots are is mesh and this is where the seed falls through into the deep drawer.
Best $50 I spent in a while.

Here are some other setups from an earlier post. Having wire mesh to let the poop through will be a big help.

I recycle 20l Drums. And get them from the tip.

the cut out bit on top could be bigger.it stops the husks from blowing away when they take flight.Easy to cut with a jigsaw.
