Sea green PF

Howdy all. My 'pure normal' Redfaced have started throwing seagreen offspring ( about 1 in every 4 chicks). Now, knowing that the sea green is sex linked recessive and 1/4 of my chicks come out seagreen, then I assume that my parent hen is pure normal and the male is split for seagreen .. example;

Split male X normal female = 25% split males, 25% normal males, 25% normal females and 25% sea green females.

Does this sound right to everybody?

Ah Sorry. Sex linked, so females can only be either normal or coloured mutant. Only males can be split for seagreen.

Is this the case for your pair only, where you suspect the male is split and the hen is pure? Or is it never possible for any hens to be split Sea Green?

According to this paperwork I got from the web somewhere.
It states

Assuming that normal/seagreen and normal/pied are probably on different chromosomes with normal/seagreen being sex linked and normal/pied being autosomal

Assuming that. A male can be normal split to seagreen but a female can only be normal or seagreen no splits.
