I've always (the 2 yrs I've bred them which I know isnt all that long) used cages that size - for the price of 4 of them petmania have a deal with the stand included I think.
Breeding in any cage, Dad will usually get pretty sick of batch one babies as soon as batch 2 eggs start being laid, so that cage offers plenty of room. The serious breeders mostly use cages much smaller than the 24*16*16 and remove the babies as soon as they can feed themselves, although I agree keeping them all together looks much cuter.
I generally put the nest inside sitting on the perches (extra perches need to bought for this) although last year I tried some bolted onto the outside after removing the side doors from the cage so I could check without going into the cgae, in practice I found I was almost as disruptive for them doing it that way so this yr will be back inside the cage (no photos sorry - hadnt thought of sharing on the forum when I used the bolted boxes.)

If you are looking at a few I decided againt the 75cm ones as that stand only holds 3 instead of 4 with the 60cms

Havent had any probs with the Petmania ones either re the bar spacing, including with double bars which are smaller than gouldians.
