Welcome to the forum. Is your finch avairy nice and draught proof? These guys are not as tough as pidgeons.
My Dad started with racing pidgeons, and by the time he passed on had awards for breeding endangered cockies, and more than half the back yard covered in avairys.

Hi finchbreeder, the avairy is only a 900x900x500mm inside cage at the moment and a 4 bank breeding cabinet which ive just finished making.
Will build an outdoor avairy soon, probably a colourbond type avairy and lined with 6mm ply as my brother has a quite a few-left over sheets.
Just trying to figure out the best seeds for gouldians as theirs so many different types available from all the different petshops and seed merchants around.

A good mixed finch seed with a fair % of canary is best. And they like their greens too. Have fun building the avairy, you will find lots of examples on here to help you.
