well im back from the auction came home with a few goodies. bought a pr of red siskins for 160pr which is pretty cheap i thought, pr of yellow saints for 45pr, 1pr fawn hen x norm cock plemheads 1pr fawn cock xto norm hen, so then 2 fawns will be paired together, paid 75pr and 45pr and thats all i bought. the prices of some of the birds were cheap like there were at least 6pr of red siskins 175pr was the max and cheapest was bout 130pr prs of bluecaps went for 230pr which is real cheap norm go for atleast 300pr if u can get them then all then more common species were going for good prices like painted and that sort of stuff around 40pr. there were 300 lots there. did any other west Aussies go

Hi Chris,
Went to our "first" auction yesterday, but left early(son's birthday). Managed to get a pair of Red siskins for $150., which was a pretty good price. Paid double that for my last pair of siskins. Will definitely be better prepared and have more time on my hands for the next auction. It was a good experience all the same.

Hi Chris, well, my mate picked up my siskins for me so we missed the long queue(lucky us). I did get my last pair from a mate of yours and they are doing pretty well. The cock was a bit feisty at first, a bit aggro towards my gouldians but he has settled now that the hen is sitting on eggs(3). We put our new pair in the aviary yesterday and he doesnt seem to mind them. Just waiting now for the eggs to hatch. Still looking for 2 male green singers, so let me know if you hear anything.
Thanks
Alvin
