Hi All

I am sure that this is not news for some but here in africa we dont often get to meet people who know so much about our Hobby and I had the privilage of meeting Mr Russell Kingston yesterday whilst he was visiting one of our local bird dealers, I pitched up ther eto replace the 2 owl cocks that mysteriously died, and ther he was . What a great man and what a total source of information, and the great thing is that he is willing to share all his knowledge, I now have his new book that was brought out of Aus for me, as it was not avaliabe in this country untill a few days ago when he arrived, and I guess for some its ok to have his book but I have a signed copy to me in person :D :D :D :D

Just thought I would share this with you folk

Thanks

G

Glen that's fantastic. A real honour to meet someone so willing to share. He sounds like a wonderful person to meet.

Have you met his highness as yet.
Don't tell him about the level he has been put on.He will never get his head through a normal door way.
Remember he still puts his pants on the same way as we all do,one leg at a time.Sorry being harsh, one thing about Russell, he is most approachable and willing to talk to other bird people.

 He is very down to earth. I had a very productive time chatting to him and the rest of the aviculturist in JHB. Great to meet so many people like-minded.

Russell's book is fantastic - it has everything any newbie finch keeper could think to want in it.
