finch convention accomodation

where abouts are people staying for the convention? due to a bit (a lot) of miscommunication between my parents, who are paying for my accomodation , and me, who was apparently supposed to book it (though i SWEAR they said they'd done it) nothing has been booked!! was wondering which places the free shuttle buses will be running from, as the after hours line at the venue is less than zero help and there is no other info anywhere! hope someone can help, or i'll be takin a swag and finding a nice cold gutter in a park somewhere!

Ive just googled free shuttle bus routes and hotels on these routes and got these pages

I dont know Brisbane at all so Im not sure which shuttle route would be best, hope you get it sorted.

there are supposed to be some buses organised by the convention venue though, since they no longer have residence at the venue like they once did apparently. so in theory, there is a bus from some Brisbane hotels taking only convention guests to the venue, but i don't know which places! if worst comes to worst i'll just have to take a cab, or walk

ok, do you need the flyers from the convention again to see if you can make contact with someone?
Ive got 2 phone numbers if thats any help, one is the registration number and the other one is for details

thanks Di, have all the phone numbers, may just have to call the organisers and see if they know any more details than the venue, was just hoping not to have to do so with it being easter long weekend and all!

All the speakers and numerous people are booked into

There will be shuttles from there to the convention site and back.
If you can't get in there Google the location and see if there are alternate ones available close by
and you can then still use the shuttle service.
if this is not possible contact Eric Davis 07 32175333 he was incharge of billets but if non are available
he may be able to assist with some info.

thanks orix. i've booked in at Central West End, was a toss up between the two. it's only a short walk away, happy to go for a bit of a stroll to get to the bus or meet up with others. looking forward to meeting everyone!
