when i change the seed in my zebra finch aviary i sit the old seed on the roof in a bowl for the local sparrows.
i changed the seed today as normal and put the old stuff on the roof i was concreating near by when three double bars landed on the roof hopped in the bowl and had feed.now this in the middle of a suburb i couldnt see any leg rings and i asume they are wild i only had my mobile phone and tried to get some photos but they wouldnt sit still long enough.i grew up in this area and have been living around here for 27 years now and its the first time i have ever seen one.i will put the seed there again tomorrow and some water and see if they return
