Not from this black duck , had them and sold them .

Proper boofheads in a mixed aviary but as a single specie aviary I imagine they would be quite nice .

Nice looking bird though .

My opinion only.
Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.

Hi Jayburd I hope you are right ,not popular enough as I would like them to be :( .The forum is slowly growing in numbers and we are getting members from overseas with the majority of the goldfinch questions. In Europe the european goldfinch is the second most kept cage bird after the canary.Jayburd you say not just on the forum. Where else have you seen the increase in popularity I would like to know more please.

I would like to get back into them. Only have a male so will need to get him a mate. Male is a litle crazy though. Perhaps an aviary bred hen would be the go.

What's the going rate for avairy bred goldfinches in Melbourne.

Thanks

Funny with these ones....

Cost varies where live depending on availability.

I dare say most of the "aviary bred" birds where I am from are wild caught from Melbourne.

I would not pay anymore than 20 per bird but have seem them up to 45 a bird.
