Just went down to the avairy for the morning feed and had the pleasure (and luck) of being in the right place at the right time. Just WATCHED my stars fledge, 4 in all. Never seen it before, usually find a surprise in the morning but never witness the event. How cool is that? They did well, but had to contend with the cranky bitch of a gouldian who has a nest with young close by. She showed no quarter. Had forgotten how small stars are when they first appear as compared to goulds. I cant imaging how small orange breasts are. What a great start to the day. :D :D Hope it gets better, going to the surgeon to check on the large cancer I had removed from my nose last week, took half the nose and needed a skin graft. Hopefully he has good news as well. Fingers crossed.

I really can say that this has been a great day, seen birds fledge( for the first time) , cancer cleared, (so far) and "Angus" (see post D...Heads) has finally been located and placed in good care. I didn't get free beer at the local, that don't matter, the day has been one of the best. What will tomorrow bring? Better start buying Lotto.
