I enjoyed it Captain, sorry I missed ya.......

Not alot of variety finch-wise in my opinion, but there were some really interesting birds and characters aswell. I was taken by the Rose crowned fruit doves, Crimson Chats and Fairy Wrens which a fella brought down from Grafton. Had a good chat ;) about softbill keeping and Blood Finches.

Got another pair of Little Lorikeets, packed my Purple Crown bubs off for their adventure in the Big Smoke....along with one of their Varied mates.......My partner nearly burst into tears seeing them go

For those who couldnt make it, here's a very rough list of what I saw.....

Parrots. All the rosellas except Adelaide I think, Kings, Redwings, Superbs, Regents, Port Lincolns, Mulgas, Hooded, Gold Shouldereed, Red rumps. Bourkes, Turks, Scarlets, Elegants, even a single Rock cock! Rainbows, Red Collared & Red Capped Lorikeets. All the small small Lorikeets between me and one other guy .....he also had some nice Swifties which nearly made it into my cage  My new Littles better earn their keep :P .......some Musks and Mutant Scalies

Finch wise....

Double Bars, Redheads, Painteds, Stars, Pictorellas, Gouldians, Cubans, Ruddies, Strawbs, Zebs, Blue Faceed/Red Faced/Tri-coloured Parrot finches, Black headed and White headed Nuns, Cut throats, Red cheeked Cordons....heaps of canaries/lovebirds/budgies...............Bumped into tiaris.......he might be able to fill in the gaps, especially with the foreign species

I dont have the official figures yet but I think there would have been around 1000-1500 birds benched

Well done to the Kempsey-Macleay Bird Club.
