i went to my first bird sale yesterday being the toowoomba sale, loads off people came and it seemed drawn out in time as you have a 30 mins veiwing time then after that you start buying ( are all sales like that)
i managed to win the raffel, prize being a pair of white chested gouldians (very happy i bought $20 of tickets so not a bad score) ended up buying 2 pair of white chest yellow back gouldians, 2 red faced parrot finch hens for my lonely male, a pair of tri coloured parrot finches and a pair of st helenas. not bad prices i thought. loads of parrots the but pitty on the amount of finches availible. did any one else go?

cheers

Sounds like you had a great day plus the bonus of winning the raffle .
Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.

None of the sales Ive been to do that. They have been just "open the doors and and stand well back" type. :D
Congratulations on the raffle prize you must be very happy with that.

I went to Toowoomba last year it's the only sale I know of that has the 30mins viewing.

Well done on winning the raffel and good luck with the Gouldians.

There's a sale at Ipswich next weekend so we are going to go to that.
