One upside of strong winds - the abundance of fallen branches and sticks that can be found! I dont have any trees or large enough bushes to provide good perches and foliage for the birds to play in so I must rely on gathering expeditions. Which I am about to do! Wish me luck in finding the perfect stick

How did the stock hunting go today?? I did the same thing yesterday afternoon at the back of my 10 acre block which is an area of just on 2 acres of bush. Came across a few good perches, Interesting thing was that while I walked around the area, 1 had a young kookaburra follow me around literally from tree to tree as I came up to one. He stayed within 2-4 mtrs of me most of the time until I left the tree area. Awesome feeling!!!!

You should get some photos of the Kookaburra next time! Sounds awesome
. My stick gathering went well. I also managed to gather some spiders that are now in my car somewhere.. I think they were in the foliage... Husband was not impressed when one crawled on him when he was driving.. oops
