All those birds require nest territories in varying degrees, so for whatever reason I would say space was a large part of it. It's not just floor area is vacant space around nests that matters. Try them in with others that don't compete for nest space (as I did) and you'll have more success.Nathan Morleyy wrote:Yes I have kept them,
I have kept them with King parrots, red wings, princess parrots, superb parrots, port lincon parrots and the rossellas would try and kill all of them so we had to lock them up in there own flight.
Thanks Nathan
Natamambo,
I had about 50 logs in there.
Hayden,
Yes that would be appropriate for 1 pair of rosellas.
Thanks Nathan

Nathan, with the parrots it's as much about quality as quantity in regards to nesting sites. Let's say you have 25 at one height and 25 at another. That usually means you only have 25 as the lower ones will be ignored first. Then it comes down to size & shape of log, size and shape of opening, the list is endless really if you want it to be. Just ask Deb, she learned the sad way this week regarding who'll try to use what. Even how many metres in any direction the next log counts. So all of us a sudden you might be down to (for arguments sake) 5 logs and 6 pairs....as all the other logs are undesirable for whatever reasons.
