That's weird,
Seeing a mutation mouse in the wild but what the other member’s sed is most likely the reason why.

Thanks Nathan

Not that I know of, but I used to keep mice myself many years ago, and not in this country so you cant blame me for the mouse population explosion!

I used to do alot of rabbiting years ago.In certain areas I would see black or white or even amber rabbits. This area where i saw the white rabbits was a few kms from the road and was in a isolated area.It makes me wonder if this was caused by inbreeding over a long period ? Perhaps pied birds originally come from this way aswell ? I don't like the odds of a domesticated mouse surviving long and then meeting up with ferals and breeding.

Yes!!! And the problem with that would be????? I was line breeding a strain of pet mice that looked like pandas: White heads and chest, black from the waist down and big black circles around their eyes. Looked like a topless, miniature rat with a hangover.

I dont go rabbiting but I do see a lot of roadkill  we have rabbits with different brown patches like you would see in domestics .
Greys and whites too . Cute little buggers ...well at some stage .
