Never heard of them before, might look into them next breeding season if there is room for them don't want anymore dimonds had them and drove me insane with their flighty behaviour and crash land anywhere - nests on top of other birds.

lovely looking little doves, never kept them but seen plenty of wild birds when i was in brazil. they are usually called Ruddy Ground Doves. i'm also very fond of the african masked or cape dove - another calm, tiny dove very suitable for keeping with finches.

I used to keep these Doves years ago...ended up breeding so prolifically...couldnt breed anything else in the avairy ...so they were sold off to buy more finches like Pictarellas,Auroras and Red Fronted Turks....back in the days of compost heaps and such.
