I never cese to be amused by the speed and ability of a nesting zeb or society ,they can build the most amazing nest in a day and the males can be such hard workers just back and forth for hours bouncing up perchs to get to the chosen basket and they know exactly what they want .
I was realy pleased with myself 2 days ago I got hundreds of nice grass seed stalks and bunched and hung them in all the cages at 9pm.There was a bunch about as thick as my wrist in the big cage that I thought would last for a weeks feeding ..came out from my room the next morning and wondered why so quiet,looked in and all the grass was gone every last piece was stuffed in nests and the finchs were mostly asleep .I think they must have been up building all night ! :lol:
I guess its good to know it was appreciated
