Absolutely a Kookaburra. The feet give it away as well as the face. All kingfishers have those two fused toes on the outside of the foot. By the size and age it could not be any other kingfisher (it is only a week or so old) Sorry,I can't tell you the sex or species it is at this stage. :lol:

Very ugly. Finches may not be beautiful on hatching but they do look better than that.
