Has anyone else's aviary been invaded by slaters? We have had a lot of rain in Melbourne and I wonder if this is what is bringing them out. I have a dirt floor in my aviary and a rendered brick back wall. The wall in normally a cream colour but at dusk its covered in slaters and they are also on the floor and food tray. Are they harmful... ie disease. If so how to I get rid of them and if not do I just leave them alone.

we have a worm farm out the back and whenever you open it up it is just full of them!! i guess they like the dampness.

Quail will eat them. They don;t seem to hurt them.

Tbird, if you are thinking of getting a quail, I'll sell you a king quail hen if you want her! She needs a new home and I want to find her a home directly, and not a pet store!
