hi all, my red cheeked cordons have started to build their nest and all seems to be going well except they have become very territorial in regards to the nest location and won't allow the ruddies near the termite bowl or anywhere near their nest site..The cordon hen is bossy and a real termite hog.The poor ruddies are so placid at the moment but i want them to breed again but feel the codons are stressing them out.Is this a common trait of cordons?

Agree with VR1Ton. I had the same thing and moved the feeding 'stations' around the aviary so that they were away from the nest. This worked really well and although they are still a little aggressive around the nest space, they now treat the feeding stations as 'communal'. By the way, the Ruddies seem to cop it the most for some reason.

How big is the aviary ? I would say the hen is just making sure she will enough to feed the young ones. Maybe try 2 feeding stations.
