Talking to my Dad the other day, he mentioned that a bloke down the road wants to put a summer feed crop on our front forty acres. Would you believe he is planting millet?
It occured to me that some members might like to sharpen their scythes and fill their freezers.
I need to find out what kind of millet, but I'd be happy to see if Phil would mind selling some as milkseed.

Meanwhile, I might need a new freezer......

Sounds great Matty - you may get an invasion of finchos!

(And the OBs from you just fledged some young - haven't had OBs for some years and I'd forgotten how tiny they are)

40 acres of millet . Awesome - are your aviaries fully mouse proof ? , and will it be like an oraganic crop or pesticides involved ? Negative so and so arent I ?

I'd bet it will be Jap millet, a forage type that you heavy graze before it runs to seed to extend grazing.
