I noticed from my bedroom window this afternoon that there was about 11 sparrows outside in the pool area and all but two of them were babies. All babies were surrounding the parents begging for food and I just found it so amazing. Is this normal for sparrows to have such large family's?? Could they even have been fostering other sparrows youngins??
I just find it weird because normally you only see about 3 or 4 babies with one of the parents let alone 8 or even 9 with both parents.

Could be two clutches too, baby sparrows can be a bit reluctant to stop begging (sounds like some teenagers too  ).
