My neighbour brought around a half feathered silvereye, still with a little bit of down on it. My guess would be about a week off fledging. Any ideas what to feed it until I decide what to do with it?

Well I fed it for about 4hours this morning, it was happy and healthy, calling loudly and feeding well. While I was out the back there were adult silvereyes feeding and calling, so I gathered the little one up and stuck it in a cane finch basket and hung it up in the vine in the fence about 4 m from where their nest would have been. The parents heard it calling and found the nest immediately and were feeding it within 20 minutes.

well played.

A photo of the little one before I put it outside. I checked on it today, appears to be doing well, so fingers crossed.
