This is the drain behind my house, we have several such drains around town and they are awesome this time of year.4 or 5 different types of seed heads and miles of it.Just been down there and picked a big bag, all morning there has been flocks of Budgies flying over (hundreds) all headed north/north east.

A great resource for a desert aviculturist. Not that I've any birds at present but I've been eyeing all of the grasses in easements and waterways around Brisbane for just such a use.

How good is that!
Might have to dig myself a drain and throw some seed in it to start it off!
