Thanks gouldianpaul. Will we be making this a yearly thing do you think? Also whats the go with feeding the seed? Once it has defrosted are you able to refreeze the rest of the seed or it has to be used straight away?

Thanks

Hi AMCA26

My understanding is that the feeding of this seed is as per Misso's explanation...can anyone currently using it confirm.

Yes it is my intention to make this a yearly thing....I think once our birds get the taste of it they will "demand" it every breeding season....cheers, Paul

I also think there is a lot of members out there who are holding back just to see how all this unfolds & if it all goes to plan & if everyone is happy with the seed (which I'm sure they will be) there is going to be a lot more on board next year.

If the Lowes are retiring after this crop isn't it likely this will be the last year?

maybe someone up their way or knows them can tell us? hopefully its just the birds they are getting rid of or are they selling their property too? maybe gouldianpaul might know since he has been in contact with ray in recent weeks?,

not sure how much money they make from the green seed and how much work/time goes into the greenseed? maybe its something they can continue doing for those couple of months a yr? and travel the rest of the time?

hope thats the case anyway, if not some other farmer should be smart enough to take over if they do stop, since the cliental is already their for them.

Hi All,

The latest update is as follows:
- seed expected to be harvested in about 5 days....
- A few more orders have come in since my last post....the current order amount has reduced the freight cost to all....at this point in time the total cost per container is $19.99
or $10/kg (my goal) - Ray will confirm next week that we will receive our order

The eskie and container sizes are as follows
- eskie 580 L x 390 W x 260 H
- containers 180 L x 180 W x 110 H

This way you can all work out how much storeage space you will need...

Ray also confirmed that they will be continuing to grow and sell the green seed each year....yes it is true they are reducing their bird stock....to allow them to travel, however the growing of the seed is done over a few months so they will continue to supply the green seed to the market.

So at this stage I hope to be sending out a PM late next week informing each of you how much your seed will cost.

Cheers, Paul
