Hi,
i have eard that their is a Ino and Silver mutation in Owl Finches but i tried to look for it, and can not find it.
Is this true??
Such a mutation even exist???

I've seen/heard of pied and fawn, but neither of the ones you mentioned

Two subspecies BB with the white rumped being the nominate race. Split roughly by the gulf of Carpentaria and the Black Rumped is to the North west.bluebutterfly213 wrote:Is the black rumped owl classed as mutation or separate species or something else?
I believe there were fawn or cinnamon birds around but imnot sure on the status of these birds.

Fawn double bars shown in this thread http://www.aussiefinchforum.net/viewtop ... awn#p88822, also in Portugal. Never heard of them over here, though that doesn't mean they're not in Oz.
